CERTIFIED ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification provides a solid foundation in finance and accounting. It provides all the technical skills and knowledge needed for an accounting-support role.
No formal academic qualifications are needed to start studying for CAT, but there are some exemptions available for those with previous qualifications.
The CAT qualification - and the right to use the CAT letters after your name - comes after completing a set of exams and a year of practical experience. The decision is then whether to go on studying towards the ACCA Qualification or focus on the world of work.

"I was able to study for the CAT qualification at the same time as studying for my A-Levels. It offered me a direct route to the ACCA Qualification and helped me develop the necessary skills set to pursue the professional qualification."
